wait he seriously never danced until he was 17???? I've been doing 6 styles of dance since I was three (at least 10-11 years) and learning body control like that takes so long. Honestly I'm not super sure since I don't do a lot of hip hop and I only started recently, but at least for all other dance I do body control takes a really long time to learn and do well. To learn that in like 5 years is crazy.

His dance skills have been very noticeable. Dances such as this highlight Yuta's power and control. It's just that Ten gets most of the praises and also Taeyong. His movements are prowerful and sharp but he has so much control.

윤애영 Yuta had zero experiences in dancing, in fact he auditioned and got into SM as a singer. However, I do believe that his past experiences with sports (he was a soccer player, had a professional soccer player future) did help with his strong physical controls. He is also no doubt a born idol, he is really talented

agreed! For a main dancer, its ridiculous that most of the time, he is pushed to the side or the back while performing title songs. Yes he might have the centre spot more than Johnny, Taeil or Doyoung but none of these are the "main dancers" of NCT. He is yet he barely gets a chance to showcase it. Having said that, his stage presence is sooo strong and powerful that he can't help but attract attention. I mean look at Touch. He only appeared in the centre once for few seconds, yet he had the most impact of all members to the point where 90% of the comment section over there is filled with people talking about him. Few seconds of camera time can get him this much interest, now imagine if he was promoted as much as Taeyong, Mark or Jaehyun. He would be unstoppable.

agreed! The only other dancer at SM that I feel has this ability is Lay. The other dancers at SM are all amazing but they often struggle with reigning back their strength

Endless Serenade I would not yet compare Yuta to the top SM dancers yet, Yuta has a long way to go. But I do agree that both are extremely talented dancers, entering the company with zero dancing experience yet gaining such beautiful moves through their hardwork

Honestly can't understand this comment when it comes to his dancing. I think he gets a lot of dancing time and even if he is a great dancer, he also sings while performing so it's good for him to have the breaks he has. If he's not the one singing he's usually close to the center or is the actual center, and he owns his singing parts even though they're sparse. I have more complaints about his lines than I do with him dancing on the sides tbh. He got one line in this song🙃 Besides like backup singing, just one. Anyway this comment is not to start any beef or anything I just think that if you take into account how many lines he gets vs how much he's dancing and compare that to everyone else, you'll find that he's doing more dancing than most but is singing the least.

Perlupe I have no idea where I said in my comment that he has long lines? Anyways, in my other comment under this video, if you saw it, I have stated that the centers Yuta gets is limited. The reason why people think he has long center parts is because of his outstanding performance skills and strong personal aroma that really catches the audience's eyes, making people believe that he has long parts. If you paid attention to his Cherry Bomb performances you don't realize that he only had collectively 13 seconds of center in it, third to last. And reading your long comment again, one sentence you said caught my eye, " it's good for him to have the breaks he has." I'm confused, if the main dancer isn't supposed to be dancing, who should be? Just let all the main vocals sit aside if they are too tired to they dance and sing. Let only the rappers dance and sing, the main dancers are useless, why don't we just have all the members sit aside and sing rather than dance? I am looking forward to hear your opinion.
