The main reason I loved this song so much was because of how it sounded like 50 different songs all in one. It wasn’t repetitive, it just kept surprising you.

Also all the harmonies in SNSD songs make it so I still hear new things when listening to 5+ year old songs. Even the chanted ‘I got a boy’ bits have different layers. I feel like that’s what’s missing when people cover iconic SNSD songs like Gee, The Boys, Oh, etc.

This song previously won a KZfaq award against well-known western artists. In the year this song was published, the internet was not as easy as it is now, because Android smartphones were not as easy for teenagers and young children to use as they are now. Since the beginning of the year, snsd has never left the top 10 of gg brand reputation. For this month they even ranked (#8), higher than all sm boygroups for kpop group brand value. Soshi is actually stronger than ever, focusing on their individual projects. When they comeback, you will see that people hasnt forgot them, they can't. The impact they had on kpop and the k-industry is just way too big.
