저때 보아가 20대 중반이였다는게 놀라움. 그때는 왜그리 늙었다고 느꼈는지.. 지금 그나이가 되니 엄청 어린것이였다. 아무래도 데뷔가 너무 어린나이에해서 저때는 너무 많게 느껴졌나보다. 지금보니 저때가 너무 멋지네.

Revisiting BoA after so many years and comparing her with the kpop girl group these days, I realized that BoA is one of the few kpop artists who is trained to dance with grace yet power. She really knows where and when to hit hard at the right beat. There's also something quite captivating about her dance. Not sure what is it, can't quite put a finger on it.

agree! her dancing is just so classy at the same time so powerful and elegant, every move looks like she effortlessly pulls it up so it just draws eyes to her. There is energy but not overdone, honestly if compared to the quality of her moves she reminds me of Yuzuru Hanyu - champion of ice skating. They have both similar energy and quality making their bodies absolute rulers of any moves and yet to look graceful, powerful, on the beat, energetic, expressive and lovely~ from new k-pop artists I can't even name anyone who can dance like BoA.

@lmao I don't think they're saying in a bad way. It's just that around 2007-2011 the auto tune was a must in kpop songs. That's why, the "legends" all have songs with autotunes in it in their past. I actually didn't like pop in general at time because heavy autotune. But knowing kpop in 2013 and start listening to the old songs after already a fan bc of the new (now old) style makes me break my Barrier against autotune.

She is actually about the same age (internationally) as TVXQ Yunho and JYJ, if I'm not wrong. They're considered the Gods of K-pop. But because of BoA's experience and how far she has come, BoA is considered a legend. She debuted at the age of 13, I think.. That's why a lot of idols look up to her.

Robert Llobrera Jr. BoA uses auto-tune? You should see her live performances before stating something stupid like that. She dances and sings at the same time. BoA has debuted in 2000, that's 13 years on the music scene. She's 27 years old and she already has 13 year old music career, she's the first non Japanese person to top Oricon chart (if you don't know what Oricon chart is - Google it), she's Asia's first Superstar, she has albums on Korean/Japanese/English, she won Rookie actress award this year, she's also made an English movie (Make your move) also this year, she's been a judge on Korea's music talent show (where you can see just how good vocalist she can be). She's one of the most famous Asian artists, and I think it's stupid to say she's a ''crap artist'' when you have no idea who she is and what has she done to music industry in Korea/Japan. Don't even start accusing K-pop copying western music, just don't. Stupid things like that say only people who never listened to K-pop. K-pop has many dimensions. And no, male groups in Korea are not gay (maybe some guys are, but mostly they are not). I think it's funny how a Gaga fan is judging someone by how they looks and how they dresses. You're here defending Gaga by insulting other artists. . . you think Mother Monster would be happy about this? lol. Don't spread hate just because you don't know what K-pop is and who the f*** is BoA!

I was going to ignore Robert and his inane remarks, but...Bobby? Here it is, BOTH BARRELS! I have been in music since 1967...and I know a wee bit about electro stuff and production. Although BoA's voice is electronically enhanced for this song/video, I can absolutely guarantee to you that Kwon BoA neither uses, nor needs, AutoTune. BoA is the real deal...voice and dance, as well as speaking four languages...two at native fluency level...and much better in English than she was at the start of her career (she is still a bit shaky in Mandarin though). The only K-Pop/J-Pop star that can keep up with her is Koda Kumi, with whom she has done quite a few duets. Lots of people have the misconception that many Asian pop/rock people sync. That is true for one reason, most J-Pop/K-Pop divas record their own harmony tracks. Kind of hard to sing two or three tracks at the same time. People used to say the same shit about Ayu...well, Ayu's hobby is forgetting lyrics. Kind of hard to sync forgetting your lyrics, especially with Yocchan there picking on her when she does screw up. Instead of syncing, she has Yoko and Peco to back her up (sad that Ayu and Peco have parted ways), on harmonies. Most US pop crap is done by people who can neither sing, dance, nor speak English (let alone a foreign language). K-Pop idols usually spend at least two years practicing before they even see a stage. BoA was 11 when she started out...and she didn't even start being a pop star until she released ID Peace_B...when she was around 13. This woman is a pro...no bullshit about it. Don't even try to compare lame ass US divas with true talents like, BoA, Ayu, Utada, Koda Kumi, Namie Amuro, and countless others. The centers of pop music in the world now are in Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai...not LA.

"Fantastic fantastic fantastic fantastic elastic elastic elastic elastic" "loverholic robotronic loverholic robotronic" "electronic manic supersonic bionic..." gotta love SM's vocabulary one thing i love about BoA is that even if she dances sexy she never forgets to actually dance and always killed it no matter what. people these days are called good dancers for sexy hairography and posing. off the top of my head the only good dancers currently in kpop are Min, Minzy, Fei, Jia, CL and Hyoyeon

I really miss this era of Kpop, when things weren't so manufactured and stars were so much more creative and unique. That's really what got Kpop off the ground and made it go mainstream, I think. No shade on the new generations, I think a lot of them are amazing vocalists and dancers, but the 2010s (especially when BoA was dropping one banger after another) just hit different.
